Since our founding in 2010, Geelong and Surfcoast Doula Services has been dedicated to providing high-quality support to Women and their families. Over the years, we have grown to become the leaders in Birth Support throughout Geelong, Surfcoast, Bellarine, Otway & Golden Plains regions.
We support all births however we have a very deep belief in physiological birth and how to achieve this in ways that honour you and your baby to achieve a birth you can be proud of to ultimately give your baby the gentlest transition into your family.
We support all families regardless of age, colour, gender, or belief system and deeply hold many families from many cultures in our community to birth in an authentic held way.

Platinum Pregnancy & Postnatal Package
This package includes a back up Doula and generally starts anywhere after conception to ensure continuity of care throughout your entire journey through to 3mths Post Partum. This allows regular check ins, support at appointments if needed or someone to share your whole journey with.
This package is ideal for First Time Mumma's, High Risk Pregnancies. Twins/Triplets, Recurrent Miscarriage/Loss, Mental Health (Including Partner), Neurodiverse, those with Little/No family support, or those that just want the Best of care.
You will learn and understand all aspects of your individual pregnancy, birth preparation across monthly sessions these increase closer to birth, birth mapping/planning, access to resources & referral to support services, On Call from 37weeks til 42weeks or when baby arrives, Birth Attendance, Story captured in Photos, a Post Natal needs planning session & Birth Debrief and Post Natal support for 3 months.

Private Full Birth Package
Our most chosen package to meet many families needs bringing their baby/babies into the world.
This package creates continuity of care for you (and your partner) to build a healthy birth team to ensure the best outcomes for your family.
This package includes a back up Doula and generally start anywhere after 20 weeks to begin learning and understanding all aspects individual pregnancy care & birth preparation.

Birth Doula Packages
Final Weeks Birth Support Package
This private Doula package is designed for women after 35 weeks pregnancy who are looking for support during the final days or weeks (or sometimes hours) leading up to labour.
Your Doula will meet with you and your partner for a pre birth session to discuss the type of birth your want.
You will have the opportunity to talk about any issues you may have or address any concerns. Your Doula will help to ensure you both feel relaxed and ready for your baby's birth
Hospital Doula Program
Families birthing at Barwon Health University Hospital & St John of God Hospital now have unique access to our on-call Doula program. (Upon availability)
This program provides on-call certified doulas for hire, from when you arrive at your birthing suite.
Our hospital Doulas work in 12 hour shifts 24/7 and you will have the opportunity to get to know our doulas if you choose to take part in our optional birth preparation classes. This unique program offers affordable last minute support.

Bringing your new baby home should be a joyful and memorable time. Having someone around to help your family transition smoothly to your new life allows you all to bond with your baby without the worry of getting life's daily chores done.
Your doula will lovingly and quietly help to care for your home and family while being there if you want to chat about baby and any concerns you may have.
Student Doula Support

Student Doula Support - Birth and Post Natal
Our Student doulas are committed to the highest standards of training and work closely with an experienced mentor doula throughout their trainee period. Students will have completed theoretical components of the course and proven their knowledge of pregnancy and childbirth through completion of assessments.
Your student doula will be able to support your through a process of developing your birth plan and assisting you throughout your labour using natural and complimentary therapies learned during their course.
We also have students who are available as Post Natal Doula students. Post Natal Doulas assist you after the birth of your baby in your home with practical assistance caring for your baby while you rest, shower or care for other children, assist with daily household chores or meal preparation, assist with laundry or provide you with referrals to local groups or organisations that may improve your lifestyle. 6 hours assistance in total over a maximum of 3 days is available at no charge to you.
You will also have the opportunity to speak with your doulas mentor should you wish to at any time.
Many of our student doulas are mothers themselves who understand first hand your experiences and bring a wealth of experience from their own lives prior to embarking on this career.
This program comes at no cost to you in return for your written feedback following your baby's birth. This will assist your doula in developing her skills for her new career.
Grief and Loss Support

No one can ever prepare you for the loss of a baby, but your Doula is here to hold your hand and guide you through the darkest hours of your Miscarriage or Stillbirth.
Grief and Loss Doulas have been through loss themselves and have chosen to assist other mothers and their families facing the same journey.
The loss of a baby can happen at any time and regardless of how many weeks gestation your baby has reached, the intensity and overwhelming emotions require the same honouring.
